Pay (through cash) or Reverse wrongly reported input tax credit in return of subsequent month(s), as the case may be.

For under reported input tax credit, the same may be availed in return of subsequent month(s).

- Refer Circular No. 26/2017-GST, 29.12.2017

Thanks a lot Sir...

Sir will the wrongly claimed ITC auto populate in the next month GSTR 3B to pay? If not auto populated on next month 3b ,for eg: Rs. 1000 IGST ITC is wrongly availed as CGST(500) & SGST (500) then how is the reversal to be done next month? what will happen to that IGST amount? If Dont mind please clear the doubt.

Thanks & Regards

No its not auto-populated, you need to Identify the mistakes through GSTR-2A and need to reverse the same if Wrongly taken. And take credit on respective heads.
