Miscalculation in gross salary shown in form 16

I have a query regarding the salary figure in Form 16.

IF we add back all the deductions (like PF, ESIC, TDS, Professional Tax, Std. Deduction) in the net take home pay, then we arrive at the Gross Salary. There is no profit in lieu of salary and no perquisites. Nothing else is deducted from CTC. HRA is not applicable as the employee is not living in rented premises.

Due to the miscalculation of HR Department, there is a difference of Rs. 3500 in Form 16. HR Department has shown the higher figure by Rs. 3500/

While filing the ITR, which figure should we consider, is it as per Form 16 or as per actual calculation.

Is it compulsory to mention the figure as per Form 16?

Kindly inform.

Thanks.

Yes it is advisable and in a way compulsory to show as per Form 16 alongwith 26AS
If the miscalculation is by the HR department ask them to correct it. File according to payslip and is any query arises explain with proofs to AO.
