Is it compulsory to pay MAT when equivalent Tds credit available ?

if you are liable to pay MAT instead of regular income tax and an equal amt has already been deducted by way of tds then your net tax liability will be nil. you are not reqd to pay any amt.

above answer includes any sum payable on account of edu. cess also. if tds amt is equal to MAT calculated before edu cess, then the co. is liable to pay the edu cess amt.
