when medical allowance / reimbursement are not received from the company, still can i claim medical exemption if i have bills? If yes, under which provisions?

You can claim exemption under section 80-D for meidcal insurance premia for urslef , wife and dependent children upto 25000(inclyding preventive health check up ) if u and ur spouse is less than 60 otherwise upto 30000 (including prevnitve health check up )and for ur parents also if they are 60 or above then upto 30000 otherwise 25000 (including preventive health checkup) and remember these amount should pe paid by cheque or any other way except cash and preventive health checkup in any of case is upto 5000 and only this can be paid in cash or any other form.

80D is eligible on Medical expenditure incurred by assessee, being individual/HUF on the health of a very senior citizen person provided that no amount has been paid to effect or to keep in force an insurance on the health of such person which is subject to overall limit of deduction under section 80D
