Accounts - Give more importance to AS and misc. topics like value added statement, Human Resouce accounting etc and recent amendments like IFRS, CA(Rules)2006

CFS, G/W & share valuation, Amalgamation - concentrate to understand the concept.

Time management in exam is important factor in accounts exam. so practice regularly.

Hi.. plan your time and finish off the theory portions first.. Revising what we have studied is more important!! so revise what u have studied!! all the best!!

Hi payal ...

First of all , wish u Best of Luck for ur preparation

Everybody has its own way of preparation and u have to find that .

In general , Following are the some of tips:

Accounts: Give more importance to Accounting standards and cover all the chapters of ur module. Refer only two books ;a) Institute module b) ur coachig institute Book

be sure to cover all the problems from ur module bcoz many times same problems had been taken from module.

MAFA:  In MAFA u have to be very conceptual and iwould suggest u to refer one & only Book for MAFA - AN SHRIDHAR(name of author). Its a superb book  from theaory & Problems point of view.

Auditing : First of all Study all AAS and try to give the references of AAS in ur exam answer book (whwerever it is applicable) it will help u to get the good marks in Auditing.

If u have the enough time ReferPADHUKAS PUBLICATION FOR AUDITING(SINCE IT IS VERY VAST BOOK) but it is a best book

Corporate Law : ONe & only one book- Munish Bhandari (Please Don't go for any other book) Please check the allocation of marks to the different chapters from previous attempt question papers. (u will find a trend and please follow it)

Hi can any one suggest me the best notes for Auditing and Indirect Tax....two papers where my prepration was in wrong direction in NOV 08, I scored over 200 hundred in both groups...but failed in both because of these two

I gave my 1st attempt in Nov08 for final exams and attempted for bboth groups together, i didnt clear any of the groups and scored very bad marks. I want to appear for both groups together but am finding tough to manage in 3 months. please suggest me what to do.

Hey Pooja, think it this way, if u study for 10 hrs daily...u still would have about 1020 hrs...and considering that most of the things are prepared for u....just give continous revision to important topics...and heavy practice to A/cs,FM,costing...can u tell me what all subjects notes are available with u....

I FOUND OUT SHRUTHI'S STUDY PLAN AS INTERESTING AND EFFECTIVE AS IT COVERS ALL THE SUBJECTS EVERYDAY.

I WOULD SUGGEST OTHERS TO FOLLOW IT TOO.

HELP HELP !!!!Has any one taken classes for audit or Indirect tax....I need notes

Auditing - Refer Phadukas Publication  Book. Give more importance to AAS & AS . Try to give the references of  AAS while atttempting  any question during exam.( plz give reference whever it is suitable ).

Preferences & more attention shud be given to thechapters like Professional Ethics & CA act, Bank Audit, Companies Audit , .

There are seperate books published on AAS:

1) Author- DS RAWAT.

2) Author - PADHUKAS PUBLICATION.(i think author is G SEKAR)

INDIRECT TAXES:

I would suggest u  to refer textbook of Sanjay Bhangar. It is a very students friendly book .

IDT paper is very scoring if u take it very smartly (believe me i got 68 marks in IDT) jst  read below:

If u want to score in IDT ,make sure that u have attempted the entire 100 marks paper of IDT. if u manage to do this half the battle is won (believe me its true..)

If u don't know a particular answer jst write anything u want (some what related to the topic given in the question) (A CA can easily do that)but at any cost make sure to attempt the entire paper.

At last Don't try to give the lenghty answers.... While answering a particular question Jst remember two things in mind

1) marks alloted to that particular question.

2) what has been asked in the question .

Ur answer should specific to that particular question ( no matter if ur answer goes for half page for 8-10 marks question) Jst be specific.

Dont take tension but  maintain consistancy in study. Do preparation for both groups.
