I have been told by many friends that this time exms are going to be held in June 09 instead of May because of lok Sabha elections to be held in May 09.

have anybody any idea about it ?

I did not heard that from anyone. In CA history i dont think this gonna happen

hi i have been told by my friend that a notifacation was passed on sat 17th jan but the icai site is updated only upto 14th. so acc to her our exams will be in june.

In the history of ICAI exams have been re-scheduled twice because of elections.

That was in May 1996 and May 2004 when exams started after 15th May.

But a local newspaper named "Divya Bhaskar" of Gujarat carried an article on 19th January' 2009 that CA exam format has been permanently changed from May/Nov to June/Dec and that such a notification was pronounced on 17th Jan' 2009. But our website www.icai.org has no such notification on its board yet.
