General provisions of Partnership Act applies...so maximum upto 100 is the limit

The new Companies Act 2013 has prescribed the maximum number of members in case of a partnership firm should not be more than 100 in case of partnerships.
As per the previous Companies Act 1956, the maximum limit in case of partnerships was 10 and 20 for banking business and other businesses respectively.

There is no ceiling limit on number of Partners in a CA firm because Firm of Chartered accountants are formed by Professionals who are governed by special Acts (i.e CA Act, 1949) which is specifically excluded from the provisions of Companies Act, 2013.
So, CA firm can have any number of Partners.
So, CA firm can have any number of Partners.
