While Computing MAT applicable for all companies foe A.Y.2007-2008, Calculate Tax on tottal companies income as per normal provisions of Income tax Act-33.66%.After calculate Mat tax 10% on Profit as per companies act Add:Provisions for unascertained liabilities Add:Dividend proposed Add:losses of Subsidiary Companies Less:Unabsorbed deporeciation or losses whichever is higher =Mat tax(10% +10%s.c. 2%e.c.) Lastly,Mat tax on Book profits 0r tax as per normal provisions which ever is higher is the companies tax u/s 115JB.
