Everyone who fails professional examination has a complaint against the Institute be it ICAI or ICSI.
Topper is a relative term.
When they fail they blame the Institute, Paper setters, Paper Assessers and everybody else in the rest of the world, except themselves.
There is also a movement amongst Students to Petition the President of India to direct Institute to remove one subject or the other which they consider irrlevant.
They know all. The Institute and it's members don't.

I dont know abt ICSI but ICAI is not manipulating results, its syllabus is tough and expectation from students is to high because of reputation of CAs in society.
So there is no supply and demand or anything like this. Industry still needs lot of CAs and businesses are developing quickly then passing of CA.
Now a days CA students can get certified copy of paper and many students get more marks in marksheet in comparison with their copy. so dont blame ICAI.
If anyone have complain they should directly contact Institute.
We should have respect for our Institutes.

Coming on this thread for the second time.
There are failures at IITs and IIMs also. I han't heard any student blaming these Intitutes or Professors their.
Students at these Institutes know achieving High Standards is essential for survival in the fierce competition in the ruthless world outside. And they prepare for the next exam.
If ICAI and ICSI are maintaining their standards, is there anything wrong.

There is nothing wrong in ICAI maitaining its standards of qualifying a CA Student. But, at the same time a CA student needs to get the marks he deserves, otherwise, the students may get de-moralised and leave up the course itself. I am CA student or rather a Semi-qualified CA struggling to finish off my only group left (Group II) of CA Final for the past several years. But could not clear even in the Nov'15 attempt. Yes, I do agree that a student may fare badly in a couple of exams but not every time. No one can assure that there is 100% transparency in the valuation of Answer scriptts. There may be mistakes committed by the Valuers, but those things hardly come out. I can even mention a case which was posted almost 1 1/2 years back in CAClubindia which is like this.
A girl scored 179/400 in Group II in May 2014 examination and failed by 21 marks, but passed in all the subjects. She applied for verification and was declared passed by the Institute by awarding 21 marks and she ultimately scored 200/400. What if she has not applied for Verification of Anwer Books of that attempt. She would have started her preparation in right earnest for Nov'14 exam and there is no guarantee that she passes in this attempt. So friends, we cannot deny the fact that the mistakes are not being committed by the Valuers and traperancy is completely missing at the time of valuation of Answer scriptts. Even if you find out a mistake and report to the Institute, there is hardly anything that you can do about it as Institute does not entertain any complaints later on which clearly shows that Institute is not interested to alter the mistakes committed by it.

WHEN I WAS STUDENT, I ALSO GOT 39 AND 206 BUT FAILED AND I WAS ALSO UNDER THE SAME IMPRESSION AS YOU ARE.NOW I AM REALISING I WAS WRONG SINCE I AM IN TO TEACHING AND THEIR EVALUATION OF PAPERS.THEN PRESIDENT USED TO TELL, YOU ARE INTELLIGENT, BUT NOT UPTO THE STANDARD ( AS EXPECTED) OF ICAI.THEN I STARTED TO REACH THAT WHEN EVEN NO SCIENTIFICA CALCULATORS WERE NOT THERE.NOW EVERY THING IS AVAILABLE ON NET.TRY AND ONE DAY YOU WILL ALSO ENDORSE MY VIEW
