we have sold the goods to a Local trader who does not have a vat no. then in that case what invoice has to be raised? whether we can avail the VAT if we show in the invoice? also what is difference between the VAT & CST? Pls. Let Me know?

yes you can avail the credit if you have VAT invoice

Reg. difference between VAT and CST

VAT is a applicable to trasaction within the State, whereas, the CST is applicable when there is transaction between the 1 or more State i.e outside the state, For example between Mumbai and Delhi .
