Due to some unavoidable situation, I was not able to continue my CA.
Can someone please let me know, how can register for IPCC exam or is there any upgradation or changes in the intermediate exam course?
Also, how can I get books of ICAI for preparation of exam? Or should I have to use old one of IPCC exam??

You should apply for registration for Intermediate Course online from ICAI Website www.icai.org or offline from your Regional Centre only then you can apply for exams and now time to fill examination form for Dec 2021 has been lapsed so you can give exams in May 2022 and after registration ICAI will send study materials/books by itself.
