The Lokpal has no constitutional authority such as the Election Commission. So it is only a paper tiger.

There is a saying in Tamil Quote"Tirudanaai erangi tirudaavitaal tiruttai ozhikka mudiyaadu" Un quote unless the thief raises his consciousness and abstain from stealing no one can stop the act of theft.
In Yoga Shastras as well as in Jain philosophy as a part of Niyama "Asteya" is the foremost tenet towards liberation Kevala Gnyana. How many follow it in letter and spirit.
No bills can ensure that individuals and institutions are not driven by "Lobha", infact it is exactly the reverse concept Lobha drives this society.
The Corruption begins from luring and that happens when abstinence is a forgotten tenet in society and aparigraha is only left as a word in dictionary.
This bill is inadequate in as much as it does not address the follys from inducer angle-be it individual corporate or NGOs.
Punishing the bribe taker and ignoring the bribe giver can only increase the menace of corruption.

Prasant Bhushan said that the Lok Sabha passed a "useless bill."
I don't think the bill that has been passed now will really serve the purpose it actually intends to serve.

The August Months Fast ended with Shri Anna Hazare Jis demanding three pinciples,
(i) citizen charter,
(ii) lower bureaucracy to be under Lokpal through an appropriate mechanism and
(iii) establishment of Lok Ayuktas in the states,
and wherein both houses of Parliament agreed to the principles in spirit (As per the statement of Mr.Pranab Mukherjee)
But, the Bill so passed has kicked out (yesterday)
Further, the proposition of Constitutional Authority to Lokpal was also put down at the last hour poll.
However, Voice vote sufficed to pass the bill in "Loksabha"
Further, the Govt. is poised regarding its getting through in the Rajya Sabha.
Personally I am dejected and fed up of the political atrocities of our so called "Democratic and Representative form of government"(or rather Monarchy and Dictator Form)
ONE MIGHT THINK THAT LOKPAL ISSUE HAS HARDLY ANY RELEVANCE ON OUR PROFESSION BUT WE OUGHT NOT FORGET THAT OUR PROF IS TRUELY THE GUARDIAN OF FISCAL DISCIPLINE AND PECUNIARY MATTER, WHICH IS ECCENTRIC TO ANY MATTER OF JUSTICE.
Thanks Richank Ji, for initiating this thread.

Bill is for the betterment of India. But what did he say on Kashmir?
Because of the anti Indian people like Prasanti Bhushan and Agnivesh, the Annaji's noble movement lost faith in public and Parliament.Govt. was not serious about Annaji's fight. Some anti Indian people diluted it, that is why in the recent protest public participation is less. People lost trust on movement.
There is a poem in Telugu.. "kulamu lona nokadu guna heenu dundina..." means one bad person is enough in a group to spoil the credibility of the community or group..
