Hi
Wanted to confirm is there any special reference in the Companies Act or any act like Provident Fund etc which specifically mentions that having Local Directors (residents of India) in company is obligatory.

No, there is no legal obligation as on date in India of having atleast one Resident Director. You can have all the non resident Directors on Board in India. This kind of provision is available in Australian Law.
