I am bcom graduate as well as CA Inter. Currently i am undergoing my articleship. I want to PurSue LLB along with CA.. preferably through distant learning

Is it allowed by ICAI.. can u suggest me any gud LLB distant learning college?

Some Distance courses in the field of law -

1. Bachelor of Academic Law (Annamalai University - Distance Education)

2. LLB (Academics) {Guru Nanak Dev University - Distance}

3. Bachelor of General Law (Madurai Kamraj University Distance)

4. National Law School also offers distance courses in field of law

Besides above i have heard that Guru Jhambeshwar University, Kurukshetra University,& Jammu University also offers distance courses of law. You can refer sites of universities for details and other updates.

However do note that Bar Council dont recognise distance LLB & u can't practise in court on basis of above degrees, they r just for academic knowledge.

U will have to file form 112 to ICAI to get permission for the course.

I am a CS..
nd now want to do LLB..
will distance learning course be valid by BAR COUNCIl..
otherwise it is futile to do LLB through distance learning

NO, distance LLB is not recognized by Bar Council. However u can look for some universities which provide regular LLB without much restrictions (although their quality of education cant be assured)

I know only 1 regarding which i have heard nd its "Chaudhary Charan Singh university". U'll have to collect the details on ur own, but its said that there is no attendance restriction there for regular LLB.
