No. Only the person paying the premium should claim the deduction. Taking deduction both by husband and wife on same payment is not ethical.

no no.. only if by one parent? but the payment is made by another.

I meant that Mr A pays LIC premium for his son then Mr. A will get deduction under 80C and not the son. Also Mrs. A cannot claim deduction.

Father can claim deduction U/s 80C for premium of dependent son not his wife.. sice father has paid premium
