What is the source of revenue for social networking sites like Orkut ??

1.advertisement revenue

2.site line like orkut with you tube

1.) the advertisements present on the website , and

2.) the quantity of downloading from the websites or you can say no. of times the website is logged on to.

well

main sources of social networking sites are: -

1 advertisement(i.e. goodle ads on every click they get some amount)

2 the times the site is visited more than a precribed limit say its more than 1000/day then they

get some amt. based on the tariff

3 the no of times the files are downloaded

4 and if its linked with other site like youtube for videos which increase their site popularity etc.

how are they funded>>...??? yahoomail & yahoo are filled with ads...

but what bout gmail....

orkut too has ads just now but before it was ad free... what bout then>??????

Then Advertise Come Na Yar.

Bcoz The People Who Want to Give There Brand ADvertise.They Give Only in Popular Site.

So Orkut Don';t Have That Time Ad Customer.

Now Hav.Bcoz Its Got Popular.........

n About Gmail Income is Link Only Bcoz No Ad On That Site.........

n Maximum Use of This Site Give Money Income on Tariff Basis.I

Everything revolves around money... Money makes money..

In social sites , they usually enter into webworld by having a venture capitalist(VC) concept. VC's play a role of somewhat like betting. If some site has a very good prospect, they are ready to invest in its initial stages and later on that money changes its form and turns out to be a popular site...

When it becomes popular, now the site makes money by way of Advertising. It depends upon how popular a site is to charge advertising fees... Other sources which is more common in dating sites, they charge membership fees from their users. Moreover popularity is the seed which helps such sites to mint money.

Take an example of twitter/ facebook. These sites were not so popular in India 5-6 yrs back. How they made it popular??? One good strategy twitter adopted is by convincing Shashi Tharoor, Bacchans, SRK and many more to join its site... Work is done to gain popularity.... Hoards of Indians started joining and twitter started minting money by advertisement..

So throw money and make money by following some shrewd strategy.

This is what many FII's have done in India. They throwed money , ofcourse some money is also dumped into our blessed politicians pockets. Policies were made favourable to many FII's. Anyway it has made money for India also(only for some people).

THE MAIN SOURCE OF INCOME OF SITES LIKE ORKUT ARE AS FOLLOWS:-

1) ADVERTISEMENT INCOME

2) LINK WITH OTHER SITES

3) NO. OF TIMES FILES DOWNLOADED FROM THE RESPECTIVE SITE

4) MORE PEOPLE VISITED THE WEBSITE MORE WILL BE THE REVENUE

THERE MAY BE MORE SOURCES OF REVENUE OF THESE SITE . IF ANYONE KNOWS THAN PLZ. POST THESE SOURCES ON THIS THREAD .

guys plz guide me actualy i was working as an accountant in a companies from past 5 years and now i m preparing for nov10 attempt.i want to join ERP SAP FICO module from a reputed instuite where fee are minmum.I do this for get a good job in a reputed MNC or a good company. is it right deceision in this time?

plz suggest me the name of Instuite from where i could take training for SAP in delhi or guragaon?
