Leaves during extension

Are exam days leave allowed during extension period. eg. Mr. X has to serve 50 days of extension and during these 50 days he has his 2nd attempt for final CA in November 2018. His articleship has ended on 31st August 2018 and is currently on leave for exam preparations. So can he count the 18 days of exam as period served under extension or he is not eligible for it?
