Leave during articleship

i hv a que in my mind regarding taking leave b4 exmz....i hv herd amthng bt extention of articleship if we take leave 4 six mnths ... so i wnt 2 cnfrm is dr ny provision as per icai or ny other way 2 take leave? actully my atmpt is due on nov 2013 n i wnt 2 clear it in 1st atmpt..so plz help me guyz.....
