What is the benefit to know about it ?
Any of the law; if it is "properly" applicable to you; you will not dare to ask this question again.

I like ur question..
Actually I m a student of Income Tax for 4-5 years now, but till date I cannot decide How many sections are there..And u r asking about the no. of laws in whole country...:))

I cannot help u in counting the Acts in Numbers.. But i can try to give u watever Act u need.. just give the name of the act..
