Latest TDS rate applicable for Accounted Date or Bill Date.
Example : Bill Date is 29th Sep 2009. but we have Accounted on 02ed Oct 2009. so in this case with rate of TDS applicable for this. pls U can give solution for me.

If you book the expenses or payment made against expenses on or before 30.09 old rate
if you book expenses or payment made on 1.10.09 or later new rates.
New rate of tds applicable on all credit / payment from 1.10.09

New Rates will be applicable from 01.10.2009.

firtstly we have to look the matter. if we booked it before 1st of oct the rate of tds is previous applied we have to taken but exp is booked after 1st of oct then the new rates of tds should be applicable.

freinds i have some query of effetive tds rate
If bill date is 29th sept and bill booked in 2-10-09 - which tds rate is applicable
if bill is for sept-09 months service and date on bills is 1-10-09 and booked in 1-10-09 which rate is applicable.

My answer to Mr. Karthik.
TDS to be deducted for salary at the time paying only. in other cases..at the time of crediting/Payment which ever is earlier..should be deducted.
