If an assessee fails to file his return for 4 P.Y and wishes to file d same in d current year den wat r d provisions wid which he shuld comply ??
Suppose the assessee has NON TAXABLE INCOME THROUGH OUT..

each asst year is a seperate issue. Since because u have not filed the returns in the last 4 years it does'nt mean that u should not file for current year. the ACt mandates filing IT returns before due dates u/s 139 (1) or belated returns u/s 139 (4) if ur income exceeds the taxable limit. Even if ur income is less than taxable limit, there is no harm in filing the returns.. But some IT offices refuse to accept such returns if no refund due . So u may file e returns in such case.

If your TDS refund is due for the corresponding previous year which may be more than 4, you can file return without a hitch

i knw it is mandatory to file return even if it is below d exeption limit but i actually want to knw whether due to non filing do i have to comply with any specific provision.
Asper S139(4) u can file return for P.Y any tym before expiry of 1 yr from the relevant A.Y. pls suggest

in the income of the previous year is not taxable or under the exemption limit not to worry bt if it is taxable it can be filled with the penalty of rs5000
