Late Fee for non filing of GSTR 3B

is there any late fee or penalty for non filling of GSTR 3B for july month, If Yes, then please mention section or Rule no. for the same.

late fee of Rs.100 per day is charged on CGST AND SGST .IE late fee of Rs 200 per day

what is the remedy available if I have paid tax at higher rate of 18% and also filled gstr 3b. but now I came to know that it should be charged at 5% and also the service recipient is asking me to revise the bill. can I rectify my return through gstr 1 and 2. please explain me the process and also how excess tax will be adjusted or where will it be reflected in my profile

@ Aman Chawla.,

As per rule you can't change the bill. You can show the details as per bill...

But.,

Logically you can change it and you ll be get excess tax is your ITC after filling GSTR 1, 2 and 3.

Go to change it...

In future (1st sep 17 onwards) You can't change any transactions. Just ll be give Debit/Credit notes...

Late fees was getting automatically added as late fee liability in 3B @ Rs.100 CGST and Rs.100 SGST per day which was to be paid through cash.Following the voice raised on twitter and various forums that ministry had given press release of not levying any late fees or penalty for the first two months i guess the same is resolved and no liability has arisen as of today.
