31st July 2011 (ie. Sunday) unless any notification provides extension of the due date.

I think it will be 1 august as 31 july is a sunday, ie holiday.

yes..it is 31st july... till none notofication is there.... and now its online so you can file anytime...

i also know sir that there is no any official notification
i questioned here because this is not first time when on last day, its sunday...

Look, in case the individual wants to file it physically how can it be 31st july which is a public holiday. In that case it ought to be the next working day -- is it not so ?

Yes, evidently it is 31st July. But, in practice, its seen extended every time for the taxpayers.

but it may be possible naa that govt. allow to file the return on 31st
and make all the offices open as like on working days...
