KPSAA holds seminar on e-payments
Kandla Port’s EDI system has been benefiting the trade since its implementation, making procedures more open and transparent for Port users. From August 2011, vessel-related charges can also be paid through e-payments.
Kandla Port Steamship Agents Association (KPSAA) organised a seminar at Hotel Shiv Grand here on July 15 with the aim of bringing together representatives of the Port, banks and users on a single platform to gain knowledge and explore the facilities available through e-payments.
Kandla Port deputed 10 officials from various EDI departments to explain to the trade the purpose and procedures of e-payments, while representatives from Axis Bank, Corporation Bank, HDFC, IDBI and ICICI explained the banking procedure in detail through a demonstration.
Mr H. C. Venkatesh, Traffic Manager of Kandla Port Trust (KPT), was the chief guest at the function, which saw participation from 150 delegates, thus making it a grand success.
The Association expressed its gratitude to all attendees.
