Mates I've only given Gr1. Well I'd mainly targeted accounts and cost and fm to score in high 70's since I had good preparation in such subjects and to score about 50's in non practical subjects. But you know what my heart broke the moment i saw the the first paper i.e, a/cs. First it took me a couple of minutes to adjust with the new pattern but after that i didn't feel that confident in that paper apart from 35 marks since icai has set a real gem of a paper considering the level of IPCC. However, despite all the hardwork a/c's paper didn't go the way i'd thought it to be.
Therefore i would rate a/cs paper as HARD. But after that Law paper was easy barring few unexpected question in ethics and communication. Cost and fm was the easiest but couldn't perform to my potential since i ran out of time and could'nt complete the vast revesion properly. Again the icai gave a hard paper of tax although it wasn't in the league of a/cs 1 paper but yet it was not a cake walk paper unlike cost and fm.
All I can say is that there is contingency surrounding over my success in ipcc exam due to a/cs and tax paper. But I'm satisfied since i've given my best shot. Let's see what happens.
I've referred the following books:
1.Accounts- Shukla & Agrawal
2.Law- Munish Bhandari
3.Ethics & Communication-Padhuka
4.Costing- S.N. Maheshwari & Padhuka
5.F.M.- Saxena & Vashist & Padhuka
6. Taxation- T.N.Manoharan
well i studied by making a chart in which i wrote down in advance the topic that i need to complete i used to give atleast 2 hrs for each subject. I startred my revision with 1.5 m to go for exam.
I guess the biggest difference that i've learnt from this exam is that we get only one day for revision before the exam whereas in ISC we used to get atleast 3 days for the main subjects. So i guess revision would always be the problem.
I hope this experience would be of your some help mates..
