We have appointed contrators for doing improvement work involving construction,etc. in karnataka. Are we suppose to deduct TDS on WCT and if yes, is there any exemption limit ?

Only State & Central Government, Govt. departments, Govt. corporations are liable to deduct VAT TDS. Refer Section 9-A of KVAT Act for details.
