I think you are asking about gold and silver jewellery. This is needed for Wealth Tax purposes.
The following is the gold rate per 10 grams for :
2009 15,105 (for 18 carats gold jewellery take 11329 & for 22 carats take 13,846)
2010 16,320 (as per above ratio)
For Silver per Kg. 999 Touch:
2009 22,165
2010 27,255
Bangles generally have impurity of 12 % only and accordingly these have to be valued.
For specific purpose; ask the client who possesses the jewellery because he knows better what impurity ornaments contains.
