Sub:        Joint Workshop for Statutory Auditors of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) on 14th May, 2009 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.
 
I am pleased to inform you that Professional Development Committee and office of C&AG of India are jointly organizing a series of Workshops for Statutory Auditors of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). The workshops in this series are being organized in all five regions at six different places. The first workshop is being organized on 14th May, 2009 at Sovereign Hall -1 Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi to be hosted by NIRC of ICAI. (Copy of the Programme is attached for your kind perusal). The primary objective of tripartite interactive workshops is to provide an opportunity of interaction and experience sharing amongst representatives from office of C&AG, and Statutory Auditors of PSUs. Though the joint workshop is targeted at PSU Auditors, may I recommend strongly to all our members to attend these workshops because it will provide a rare opportunity to share views of senior C&AG officials and topics are very relevant.
 
It is recommended that partners/paid assistants and qualified staff of the firms concerned with the Statutory Audit of PSUs should widely participate in the captioned workshop to make it more lively, participative and fruitful.
 
May I, on behalf of the Professional Development Committee of ICAI request you to participate in this workshop and share your experience in this area. Registration fee for the programme is Rs. 1500/-(Rs. One Thousand Five Hundred only) per delegate. Cheque should be drawn in favour of “NIRC of ICAI” payable at Delhi.Credit of 6 CPE hours will be provided to each member attending the workshop.
