Dear Friends,

Many a students asks me about joining service in corporate sector before completion of CA. The main reason for most of the cases is that they could not passout the final exam within a stipulated time and hence they have to support their family and do not want to be dependent on them.

It is a good though. but as usual there are several drawbacks of it -

1. On IPCC/Inter basis you could not get good package in corporate sector

2. Due to qualification not completed you do not have bargaining power

3. Many companies do not prefer semi-qualified staff because of - (a) knowledge of candidate (b) lack of surity of continuty (c) exam leave (d) uncertainity of period of service

I would say, from my experiance, that degree matter more than your hardworking / smart working skills. A qualified person can get more opportunities than a semi-qualified.

If you join the corporate sector before qualification - then -

1. you have to give first priority to service and office, thereby your main goal of becoming a qualified becomes secondary target

2. you may not get desired leave for preparation for exam

3. in many cases on day to basis you may find difficulties to study for regularly for 2 hrs a day due to burden of office work

Best Regards,

Ghanshyam
