can you please assist me how to do accounting of wholesale jewellery business-where the practise is we sell silver and get silver as payment

record the rate of silver on the date sale and record the rate of silver on the date payment i.e.on the date of receiving the silver in liew of money...............difference is recorded as profit or loss
