JAVA BASED ITR FORM ARE STILL NOT OPENING MESSAGE FLASHES THAT "INVALID ITR OR ASSESSMENT YEAR"

I HAVE DOWNLODEA JAVA 8U51 BUT THE SAME RESULT. PLEASE GIVE SOLUTION

I am sharing this solution given by my friend. I have not tried it myself.

Ensure you have the latest version of the utility. The Income Tax department keeps updating the utility without notice. So it is recommended you re-download the utility. Now follow the steps below.

Step 1:
Check whether your computer has Java Runtime Environment 1.7 installed. This can be done by going to 'Uninstall a program' from the control panel . If you already have Java Runtime Environment 1.7 and Java Runtime Environment 8 already installed skip this step and proceed to the step 2.

Download Java Runtime 8 from Java.com, if you dont already have it.

Download Java Runtime Environment 1.7 from the links given below and install it. If you are wondering why as you already have updated to JRE 8, it is necessary for java filing utility to run.
Do not uninstall JRE 8, as you will need for digital signatures.

By now you should have both Java 1.7 and Java 8 in your computer.

Step 2:
Download the file below. (Click on "download through your browser" in the download window to begin the download)

ITR 1: Click here to download

Step 3:
Place the above downloaded file in the folder containing the ITR 1 Java Utility.
That is all you have to do to solve the "Invalid ITR or Assessment year" error in ITR 1.
Open the file and your ITR-1 Java Utility should be running as fine as it did before.

(Remember:
1. Place the above file in the same folder as the utility
