You may also remember his glorious work as director of movies like Deewar, kabhi kabhi, trishul, janzeer, silsila, chandni, Darr, Dilwale dulhaniya le jayenge, dil to pagal hai, mohabattein , veer-zara, banti aur babli, fana, dhoom-1,2, chak de India, Rab ne bana di Jodi etc.
