Itr4 and 4s
My friend filed itr4 AY 2014-15 and 2015-16. now can he file itr4s for AY 2016-17 and 2017-18.

Firstly, ITR 4S for AY 2016-17 has been replaced by ITR 4 for AY 2017-18.
Though both being same in nature, can be filled by assessee whose income can be assessed u/s. 44AD (or 44AE & 44ADA for 17-18)
