ITR - V Forms should be sent only through ordinary post

FURNISH ITR-V THROUGH ORDINARY POST ONLY

 

 


As earlier notified that from this year(AY 2009-10) onwards,the assessee who has filled their Income Tax return online without digital signature have to furnish ITR-V form to Income Tax Department.VPC,Post bag No-1,Electronic City Post office,Banglore-560100 with 30 days from uploading of the return at e filing portal.means Now you can not submit the ITR-V to your local Income tax office.Further The return will also be processed at centerlised cell at Bangalore.Income Tax department has issued a press release that ITR-V can only be submitted through ordinary post .As per rules if ITR-V is not submitted within 30 days then return will be deemed to be not filed and if ITR-V is submitted after 30 days then return will deemed to be filed on the date of furnishing of ITR-V .Kindly have a look on the press release .

Please furnish the Form ITR-V to the Income-tax, Department, CPC, Post Bag No. 1, Electronic City Post Office, Bangalore - 560100, Karnataka BY ORDINARY POST ONLY within thirty days after the date of transmitting the data electronically.
ITR-V sent by Speedpost, Registered Post or Courier will not be accepted.
No Form ITR-V shall be received in any other office of the Income-tax Department or in any other manner
