There is no clarification on interest yet so it's presumed that it will be chargeable
Those taxpayers, whose self-assessment tax is up to Rs1 lakh, have been provided relief under Section 234A. But interest will be levied in case the tax liability of the person is more than Rs 1 lakh if paid after 31st July

Can I pay SA tax now i.e before 31st July and file return later i.e up to 30th Sep, if my SA tax is more than 1 lakh ?
