07 February 2014My uncle filed his Return for ay:2013-14 on 27/08/2013.But he forget to send ITR-V to cpc and he sent his ITR-V on dec,13 and it received on 30/12/2013 at cpc.But status on his a/c show as ITR REJECTED and 'Filing date has exceeded the Due date'.There is no chance to file Revised return.So any one please suggest to process his return.

In FAQ (Q2 of Q relating to CPC) its mentioned that in such a case revised return should be filed but it will be treated as original return
Once you have complied with S.139(1) there is nothing in S.139(5) which restricts filing of revised return,not even non sending of ITR V
