Hi Respected all person,
my question is my friends has not filed ITR last four years for F.Y. 2013-14 onwards.
He is a salary employee Now he want filed ITR should he filed current ITR 17-18.
in f.y. 13-14 some one wrongly use his PAN for TDS filling return.
so what he do.
please give me guideline for this.

He can file ITR for current F/Y 2017-18 after receipt of form 16 on or before 31st july.

If he file current F/Y ITR there is any problem face for last year pending ITR.

If his total income does not exceeds basic exemption limit in the previous year, then he will not face any problem and if income exceeds the basic exemption limit then he will have to wait for notice if any from department whose chances is very rare.Now he should file current year ITR .
