" Sir , First of all your " Like " is really an honour for me, thanks for that .... Second please don`t address me with titles like "Sab" I feels uncomfortable ..thats heavy word for me ..... .. I am no where near your stature... You said "Though you are aware of the legal interpretation..... Bravo......" was that a sarcasm .....or you really mean it ?..just confused ......."
1. I love and respect virtue, probity etc...... 'Inshaniyat' in short in a person, and that respect is for the quality, it may be any person, or child, howsoever small or big............ A person is measured from these qualities rather than his/her status/conditions....
2. There is no question of interpreting it in any other manner, I heartily love humanity, honesty etc.... which is seen in your act......... & hence truly respect without any sarcasm.......

"my question is why in any country there is IDT as well as DT.... "
1. I will not touch here the corruption/gotala part, because that is altogether different issue.
2. As you said there should be only one tax structure, say IDT, (its good that all other taxes you grouped in DT & IDT part) which is consumption based, so that base on your consumption you pay tax........ Just so easy.
3. Why then DT?
a. DT is based on the cost you bear to compensate using the natural resources, air, water, etc.. For earning this income, natural resources were spent somewhere somehow. So, DT is the compensation you make for that.
b. Distribution of tax structure amongst different sections of society. Example economical weaker section may pay less, while rich may be taxed at higher rate.
c. Similarly distribution of tax structure based on different resources of earnings...... Example weaker section is employed in labour or agriculture, so giving exemption/concession to such earning patterns.
d. Particularly in India, based on our constitution, there are some specific/exclusive duties awarded to central and state governments. The main source of earning for central Government is from DT.
e. Rationalization of tax structure...... Example. even though we are paying less GST as compared to all clubbed taxes earlier; but highest slab 28% gave mental pain, and had to break !!! So think about addition of DT and IDT !!!

Dear Sir , Thanks again for your kind words and appreciation , Infact I am eligible for 6% rate which will result in "nil" tax liability (legally)...BUT I still prefers to declare voluntarily @ 20% ~25% resulting in tax liability of approx. 50K rupees.......
Purpose of telling all this is to make people aware that though one SHOULD be aware of his legal rights/laws (so that he is not taken for granted and is not harassed) BUT still they should also " maintain a balance " between legal rights/duties .
Suggestion for Govt :- Any one opting presumptive taxation schemes should pay at least a minimum amount to be eligible to opt in , this minimum amount can range betwen 1000 - 3000 rupees ... in case actual tax liability is below this amount or even "nil" tax liability then this much minimum amount should be charged....

Sir thanks so much for ur contribution to our nation... But now a days not everyone is honest like u and even no intentions to pay any tax.... Firstly government should be honest on their part and transparency be there... They even now removed political party donations audit and political party should also be audited... If integrity is restored in minds of people then almost everyone pay tax.... And in reward that government should provide atleast quality education facilities and medical facilities.... Now a days both service becomes so costly it is out of normal people limit... They even can't provide education to their children..

Besides there state government elections expenses.... And when government employees and TAX authorities become honest so that people r not required any bribe for every work.... Why we people always in "Katghara" why not government also be there.... Equality of law should be there... Be transparent in everywhere.... And these things never gonna happened | ![]() |
Fact is not many people are as "vocal" as you are in these issues ...majority of society has become "selfish" and all these issues they accepted as " new normal " ....
