With reference to compliance report I have to file Income Tax return for the F.Y 2015-16 with capital gains and other income. But ITR is not filing u/ 142(1) of the Income tax act. Now under what section I have to file the respective return.

It's simpler than earlier to file an Income-tax return! You just go to the services providing such services and follow the simple steps explained there!
