20 July 2010HELLO FRIENDS, CAN ANYBODY TELL ME IF A PERSON HAS BUSINESS INCOME OF RS 100000
AND HE HAS NO OTHER INCOME BUT HE WANTS TO FILE THE RETURN OF RS 160000
BUT HE INSISTS ME TO NOT TO MAKE THE BALANCE SHEETS THEN WHAT CAN I DO CAN I SHOW OTHER INCOME RS 60000.
PLS GUIDE WHAT CAN I DO?

This is manipulation in accounts which is not allowed as per law. So according to me you should not work against the law. However the prime responsibility of ITR is always with the assessee so if he insist you to do so then you can do it.

Agreed wid Shudhanshu Agrawal but u can manipulate the same by adding other income. Increase the amount by Rs. 5000-10000 so that u can deposit income tax for loan purpose also.

Agreed with experts.
But if you want to file return , you can show other income like cash jobwork etc by more than 60000, so that his income exceed exemption limit and deposit nominal tax.
By this his purpose is solved.
