ITC on Import

is the IGST Paid on import of goods are automatically populated in GSTR2A? how can we match these ITC on import with our book ITC???

no , it shall be paid at the custom ports along with bill of entry and ITC can be taken on RCM basis.

No, it is not auto populated, you need to issue self invoice as per sec 31 and fill it in gstr 2

but currently GSTR2 is not required to file how can then our ITC would match with gstr2A. we have claim ITC on import in GSTR3B

then at the time of filing GSTR 3 for the respective tax period as per section 37 read with rule 61 of the CGST ACT 2017, you can claim the short credit claimed earlier

Dear Daxesh,you are right GSTR-2 is no more in picture as of now but is it basically a check on your procurement whether there is any unclaimed ITC lying with you.
