Can we claim ITC on purchase @ 5% having a hotel business??

if u belong to hotel business then u may be composite dealer. in this senerio u can't get ITC

it's a blocked credit under sec 17(5) of CGST Act

Yes of course you can take ITC on purchase of goods for supply of restaurent service.
read Sec 17.it clearly mention that credit of restaurent cannot be taken but it does not block credit of restaurent service provider to take credit of goods used by restaurent dealer to provide service

Suppose we are purchasing food grocery items @ 5% Gst so we can claim ITC on that purchase or not?
