itc on hotel accommodation

we are located in Tamil Nadu. my service engineer traveled to Ahmedabad and stayed in a hotel. Hotel charged cgst and sgst 12%. can we claim itc?

Yes possible if you register as Input service Distributor ISD in Ahmedabad. If amount more you may examine. as the return will have to be filed. You can do it from TN though as everything is on IT.
