ITC on Fittings and renivation

If a firm do an full renovation of
showroom (major), install ELEVATOR ,Strong safe stock rooms and total furniture fitting and electric fitting. Is ITC Available on all this or not?

ITC IS NOT AVAILABLE ON WORKS CONTRACT SERVUCE AS IT IS BLOCKED U/S 17(5) .. Further works contrat include building, construction, fabrication, completion, erection, installation, fitting out, improvement, modification, repair, maintenance, renovation, alteration order commissioning.. there ITC will not be available unless it is used as a input service for further supply..

Is the premises (property) is rented or own...?

If capitalised to Immovable property (Building) cannot claim ITC , yes if its books as Repair ITC can be claim .

In case of Elevator if its installed at factory premises , used specially for carrying goods , can book as capital goods (P&M) & ITC can be claim.

So , As Mr Raja ji ask "whether the premises is Rented or Own" matters a lot for availing ITC . If its rented then such expenditure can be book as repair & maintenance & ITC can be claim.

Renovation of business premises is eligible for input tax Credit. Renovation of business premises is not covered in Work Contract. Hence Above case you are eligible for input tax credit.
