we installed a fire fighting system in our factory through a contractor.
he billed to me with GST.
can we claim the itc. amount arround Rs. 400000/- includes supply and labour
please reply at the earliest.

Yes you can claim as per sec16
If it's a works contract then NO but if it involves two transactions viz Purchase of System direct in Companies Name & Service Contract for Installation then Yes it would be available
