ITC OF BRANCH WHETHER CAN BE TRANSFERED TO BRANCH

we have ITC credit in one branch and whether we can transfer the same to another branch and what is the procedure to be followed

Dear Sir,

You can only transfer ITC from one branch to another branch, if the second branch is opened through a new GST registration within 30 days of new registration, provided the new registration should be in the the same state or Union Territory, by filing GST Form ITC-02A available on the GST portal.

Or ITC can be transferred u/s 18(3) in case of de-merger/merger/ sale of business/ amalgamation or transfer/lease of business by filing form ITC-02 containing requisite certificate obtained from a Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant.

But, you cannot transfer ITC from one branch to another branch in any other case. For that you need to raise proper tax invoice from first branch to other branch and give effect of a sales transaction by transferring goods/services/capital goods etc..
