It return for previous years

Sir,

I have filled last return for AY 2011-12 and after that i have not filled return for any assessment years. Kindly let me know how many previous years IT return can be filled by me and upto what date also.

Further is it mandatory to file return chronologically or i can file the return for the current year first and then file for the previous years.

Please suggest.
