I have total income of Rs. 245000 in F.Y 17-18 and i have not yet filled the return, if i file the return now, will i have to pay penalty??

yes if you file return then you have to pay penalty of 1000/- Rs upto taxable income 500000/-

If your gross income is 245000 ie before any deduction u/s 80c, 80ccd etc then there is no late fee or penalty. you can file now.
