IT . reply to the notice.

my client has received notice for not filing IT return for ay 2013-14. for financial transaction TDS . Shall I file now u/s 139 (9). section was not mentioned in the notice

you have e to mention section 142(1) and not 139(9)

File a reply stating that the income was below taxable limit, but ensure that it was below taxable limits during that year. Also submit explanations regarding financial transactions and its source of expenditure / deposits as the case may be with evidence.

Normal time limit for filling of return is already over on 31.03.2016.Assessee can file the return now in response to notice u/s 148 when ever it is received. Otherwise only explanation is to be submitted as suggested earlier.
