I have filed IT Return for the Assessment Year 08-09 on 28th July,08 and I'll get a IT Refund of Rs. 13,000/-. Now my question is when should i get the Refund amount? what is the processing time for that ?

There is no statutory provision that compels the assessing authorities to stick to a schedule. That is our wonderful system of Givernance-Honest tax payers at the mercy of department.
